Frequently asked questions

Which medications are covered under a myFlex Outpatient Insurance plan?

The myFlex Outpatient Insurance plan includes medication that is not covered under basic insurance but that nevertheless has been approved by swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products. These medicines fall in the non-essential category, referred to as the "Hors-liste (HL)", that do not appear on the list.

The insurance does not cover medicines that are on the List of pharmaceutical products for special application (LPPV) or on the List that supplements the LPPV. This includes so-called comfort and lifestyle preparations.
