Manual lymph drainage

A light, stroking massage to stimulate lymph flow; developed by Danish physiotherapist Emil Vodder.

Lymph drainage is intended to speed up the elimination of retained lymph (lymphatic fluid) via the lymphatic and cardiovascular system. To do this, the flow of lymph is stimulated by light circular pumping and emptying movements with the hands along the lymphatic channels and nodes.

Aim: to eliminate metabolic end products, alleviate pain, calm the patient and stimulate the immune system
