Cupping

Age-old method used in ancient Egypt and Greece

Cupping involves placing suction cups on the skin. The vacuum that is created increases the blood flow to the cupped area. Placing the cups on specific reflex points has a positive effect on the corresponding internal organs. A distinction is made between dry cupping, which does not draw blood, and wet cupping, in which a small incision is made before the cup is applied.

Aim: to correct energy imbalances, relieve pain, and treat inflammatory diseases and functional disorders (which may also involve psychological factors)
