Carla Peyer – Trainee Stream Health & Innovation

Carla Peyer – trainee in the Health & Innovation stream

As a trainee in Health & Innovation, Carla is helping to shape the healthcare of tomorrow. She explains why she chose to join CSS.

Why did you choose the CSS trainee programme?

While studying in Lucerne I visited the CSS stand at a career event. The trainees were friendly and open, and the programme seemed exciting and varied. In my final year I discovered the Health & Innovation stream and met former fellow students who were already trainees at CSS. That motivated me, so I applied directly at the stand.

Why is CSS the right place for me?

CSS is dynamic, open and appreciative. I was involved in projects from day one and my opinions were welcomed. There are hardly any hierarchies, which makes working together easy. I’m curious and enjoy learning new things. At CSS I’ve found ambition and real enthusiasm for making a difference together.

If you can dream it, you can do it.

Who am I outside CSS?

Health matters to me in my private life too. I’m always doing something active: hiking, running, riding. I love travelling and discovering new cultures. By the sea you’ll often find me snorkelling.

What has been my highlight in the trainee programme?

I’m part of the Pensionato project, which supports people as they transition into retirement. My highlight has been developing the idea for a podcast featuring an experienced host and three men about to retire. The team backed me straight away. Recording it was a special moment. I’m proud of it and look forward to contributing more ideas.
