Your start at CSS
Each entry is individually tailored. With a personal learning path and targeted support, you familiarise yourself step by step with your tasks and tools.
VBV certification as insurance intermediary
Are you starting as a client advisor and need a VBV certificate for insurance intermediaries? At CSS, this is part of your induction. We’ll help you pass the exam during your probation period.
Digital and flexible learning
With our Elever learning app and the Cosmos of Learning platform offering over 1,800 courses, you can discover something new at any time. Webinars with experts highlight current topics and trends. We support the development of future skills and offer courses related to artificial intelligence (AI).

Personal development
We provide support that includes an initial assessment and help with planning your next steps. You benefit from digital courses, induction programmes, specialist training and product training. We also offer language courses in German, French, Italian and English.
Mentoring as an opportunity
Through the CSS mentoring programme, you develop further with the support of experienced mentors. Together, you set goals, update each other on a regular basis and reflect on your progress. This helps you strengthen your skills in a targeted way and gain valuable feedback for your day-to-day work.
Trainee programme
Start your career with our trainee programme. You gain insights into different divisions, take on responsibility and can develop according to your individual strengths. We support you as you enter working life and promote your development through targeted training and hands-on experience.
Support for external training
We support your external education and training with funding and time – for example, by contributing to course fees or granting time for attendance.
Learning is part of everyday life within the company – as is openly talking about mistakes. Both are key ingredients of our culture.
Leadership at CSS
We take action to support our leaders in their development, providing clear direction, room for initiative and collaboration on an equal footing.
For employees interested in a leadership role, we offer an introductory leadership course. In this course, you reflect on your leadership skills, identify your strengths and areas for development and practise giving constructive feedback.
Two questions take centre stage: Do I want to lead? Am I able to lead? The introductory course helps you reach a clear decision. Around a third of participants go on to take up a leadership role at CSS.
Modern leadership training
Our leaders receive individual guidance and have access to a wide range of training opportunities – from the introductory leadership course and seminars to collaboration with Lucerne University of Applied Sciences on the CAS Leadership DUAL. This brings together practical experience, theory and personal development.
