Online application & informal culture

CSS works with a professional recruitment platform. We make it easy for you to upload your CV and all the relevant documents, including certificates and references. As you've probably already noticed, we have an informal culture here at CSS – and that applies right from the first time we make contact. We really want to give you an authentic glimpse into what working here is like. So there's no need for you to be overly formal when writing or speaking to us.

What does the application process involve?

We give all applications careful consideration and do everything we can to make sure you hear back from us within two weeks. If we decide we'd like to get to know you better, we'll invite you to attend an interview. For selected jobs, we'll conduct a pre-recorded video interview before meeting you in person in order to clear up some initial questions.

First interview

The first interview usually takes place with an HR Recruiting Partner and your future line manager, either by Skype or on-site. The aim is for us to get to know one another: do you fit in at CSS, and can we offer you the tasks and environment you are looking for? During the interview, you will be given the chance to talk about your previous experience. We generally finish by enquiring about your salary expectations.

Tips on preparing

  • Prepare
Good preparation is the foundation for a successful interview. What is your motivation for applying for this particular job? Why are you suited to this position? What would you like to have found out by the end of the interview? What is important to you? Find out about CSS.
  • Show what makes you unique
Be honest, be natural and, above all, be yourself. This is the only way for both of us to find out whether you're a good match for us and we're a good match for you. Think about all the experience you've already gained, about personal challenges and special moments in your career. Tell us about them.
  • Ask relevant questions
The interview is supposed to be a two-way conversation. Seize this chance to open up to your interviewers. And don't miss out on the opportunity to learn as much as possible and ask those burning questions.

Second interview

If we invite you back for a second interview, we'll discuss your specific specialist expertise in detail. You may even be given the chance to get to know the team. And you'll find out more about the job and the employment conditions.

After the second round of interviews we'll ask for references and, depending on the job profile, carry out any assessments required for the position.
