CSS has joined forces with the PZA Psychiatric Centre run by the Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden (SVAR) to launch a care model focusing on mental health in the hospital network's catchment area from 1 January 2026.
Professionals from the PZA work closely with the CSS Health Coaches in the SVAR healthcare network covering Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden and the surrounding region. This collaboration lets you benefit from higher-quality treatment and continuous support.
We provide support and guidance when you're feeling mental strain or stress. You benefit from the collaboration, ensuring your all-round care: Waiting times are bridged and transitions between the different levels of care are handled efficiently.
We'll not only support you in recovering and living mindfully with a medical condition, we'll also help you with prevention. Answer five questions about your mental health and, if necessary, arrange a free initial consultation with a CSS Health Coach. You'll be given personalised recommendations and guided specifically towards suitable support offers in the region. You'll even be referred to the Psychiatric Centre if needed.
Persons insured with CSS can benefit from the collaboration with the Psychiatric Centre run by SVAR from 1 January 2026.
Persons insured with CSS in Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden and the surrounding region who have the Family Doctor, HMO or Multimed model of basic insurance can take advantage of this offer.
At present, the healthcare network covering Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Appenzell Innerrhoden is the only one focusing on mental healthcare. However, there are other healthcare networks that offer integrated general healthcare. We are continually building on our partnerships.
