Frequently asked questions
Basic insurance pays for vaccinations that are recommended by the Swiss Vaccination Schedule, such as measles, mumps, rubella and whooping cough, minus the retention fee and deductible. Prevention Insurance Livo assumes the cost of medically recognised preventive vaccinations in Switzerland and protective vaccinations for travel abroad.
Basic insurance provides only limited cover for preventive examinations. For example, gynaecological examinations are only paid for once every three years. Bowel cancer screening is only paid for people over 50. Prevention Insurance Livo offers additional protection and covers many more screening tests and check-ups.
No. Prevention Insurance Livo covers vaccinations, screenings and prevention courses such as first-aid and stress management or children’s swimming lessons. To get a contribution towards your fitness centre membership, we recommend taking out Health Insurance Livo Smart or Livo Top, which pay at least 50% of the costs, up to CHF 300 a year.
